The Legendary Clark  Sister Historic Reunion Concert Brings Nashville To Their Feet In Praise.
It was a night to remember when Gospel Music Hall of Fame icons, The Clark Sisters (Twinkie Clark, Jacky Clark-Chisolm, Dorinda Clark-Cole and Karen Clark-Sheards) – made their way to Music City USA kicking-off their 25-city reunion concert tour at The Cathedral of Praise Church in Nashville.

A highly spirited praise-fest ensued as the Clark Sisters performed to a sold-out crowd as they brought the church to its feet with new selections and classics such as “You Brought The Sunshine” and “Is My Living in Vain.”

After a nearly 20-year hiatus, the legendary Clark Sisters have embarked on an energizing national concert tour to bring attention to their chart topping EMI Gospel CD/DVD release, “Live-One Last Time”, as well as, their partnership with World Vision’s worldwide efforts to raise awareness in the battle against the HIV/AIDS epidemic. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization providing assistance to children and families in nearly 100 countries.

During the group’s live performance October 4 in Nashville, EMI Gospel President Ken Pennell and EMI Gospel VP and GM Larry Blackwell presented proclamations from the state and the city hailing the day as “Remembrance for the Clark Sisters & World Vision,” recognizing their humanitarian work and the sisters’ empowering legacy as music icons as well as the combined efforts of World Vision, the Clark Sisters and EMI CMG for their efforts in the community and the world at-large.

As the best-selling female gospel group of all time, the Clark Sisters have influenced and inspired the sound of a number of contemporary artists, including Mariah Carey, Yolanda Adams, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Kelly Price and Faith Evans, just to name a few. www.theclarksisters.com
