This three-day Gospel music workshop and concert will help you take your music ministry to the next level.
Come witness the anointed teaching of Stellar & Dove award winner, producer, artist, songwriter and gold certified artist, Kurt Carr. Carr who is the writer of "In The Sanctuary", "God Blocked It", "For Every Mountain", and "The Presence of The Lord Is Here" has been named as one of Gospel music's most exciting artist. Carr's ingenious music ministry offers something for all audiences.
Carr obtained a degree in music from the University of Connecticut, focusing in the classroom on classical music, while absorbing the sounds of the street and the world around him. His first national recognition came when he spent seven years as pianist and musical director for James Cleveland, who had discovered him when he was playing one year at the annual conference of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), as well as a year accompanying Gospel's equally legendary Andrae Crouch.
Karr started his own record label, GospoCentric, in 1992, and led his group, the Kurt Carr Singers, through several albums of contemporary music thoroughly steeped in the traditional sound of gospel. Carr also serves as creative director for the L. A.-based West Angeles Church of God In Christ, and has been an active promoter of the acts on his GospoCentric label, including such industry heavy hitters as Trin-i-tee 5:7, Gospel Gangstas, and Kirk Franklin and the Family.
The dates for this event are September 18 - 20, 2008, 6:00 pm nightly. The host church for this event is Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, located in Fairfield, Alabama. The cost of this dynamic workshop is $40.00 (early bird registration until August 29th), $50.00 (pre-registration) and $60.00 (on-site registration). Registration fee includes workshop and concert.
